MPC Expansions
Locating Your Akai Professional Account
- After purchasing an expansion, it will automatically be linked to your inMusic Profile account. If you're unsure of the account, it is likely the email address you used at the time of purchase.

Download the inMusic Software Center
To manage your expansions, you need to download the inMusic Software Center. You can download it here: Download inMusic Software Center.
Log Into the inMusic Software Center
Open the inMusic Software Center and log in using your Akai Professional account credentials. These should match the account associated with your purchase.
Access Your MPC Expansions
- Once logged in:
- Navigate to My Expansions > MPC Sound Packs.
- Here, you'll find all of your purchased expansions available for download and installation.
Download and Install Your Expansions (.exe/.pkg Installer)
Click the Download button next to your desired expansion pack

Once the download has finished, click Install
Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.

Exporting to MPC Standalone Hardware
To export your expansion pack to an MPC Standalone device, see this article Exporting Expansions from the MPC Software
Download and Install Your Expansions (Standalone Zip)
1. Navigate to My Expansions > MPC Sound Packs.
2. Here, you'll find all of your purchased expansions available for download and installation.

- Windows: C: > Users > [Name] > Downloads > inMusic
- Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [User Name] > Downloads > inMusic
Installation to MPC Standalone Hardware
1. Select the drive where you want to install the content. Make sure that the drive has enough free space to hold the entire pack.
We recommend that you choose an internal SATA drive for ease of use. If your MPC does not have a SATA bay, use an SD card or USB drive.
2. Connect the selected drive to your computer
Note: Internal MPC SATA drives can connect to your computer by putting your MPC into 'Controller mode'.

- Windows: C: > Users > [Name] > Downloads > inMusic
- Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [User Name] > Downloads > inMusic
Double click/open this folder.

Double click/open this folder.

Note: If one does not already exist, create a folder in the root directory (top-level) of the drive (not in any folder) and name it Expansions
In this example, we have copied the F9 Instruments folder to the Expansions folder on our SSD called 'Test'

7. Wait for the files to copy.
8. Once the files have been copied, safely eject the drive from your computer/put your MPC back in standalone mode.
