With SoundSwitch 2.10, we have moved to our own in-house licensing service to improve and simplify the licensing experience for users both new and experienced. However, if you're still running SoundSwitch 2.9.1 or older, your license will continue to be activated and managed via the iLok License Manager. This quick guide lays out the activation steps and troubleshooting.
Activating via the iLok License Manager:
Step 1: Confirm iLok Credentials
In order for SoundSwitch to correctly authorize, you must be logged into the iLok License Manager under the same iLok ID associated with your license. To confirm your ID, head over to your SoundSwitch Account Dashboard and open your billing history, then open the order receipt pertaining to your latest subscription renewal or license purchase; Your iLok ID will be shown under the 'Billed To' field.
Step 2: Open SoundSwitch and Log in
If SoundSwitch needs to be activated on the computer on which you've opened it, you'll be prompted to activate via the following screen; Hit Activate in the bottom-right corner to proceed.
Step 3: Enter iLok ID and Password
After opening SoundSwitch and selecting activate, you will be prompted to log in to your iLok account. Enter the iLok ID and password associated with your license to proceed.
All done! Your SoundSwitch license is now activated via iLok.
