The way Muse's tuning works is a bit different to other synths. The tuning table is measured from a wide range of temperatures. The synth is calibrated at room temperature after being powered down for two hours for the coolest starting temperature. A quick tune measurement is added to the foundational tuning table.
QUICK TUNE touches up the tuning for the current temperature conditions and takes a few seconds. Tuning measurements taken for each quick tune are saved, and Muse will remember environmental conditions to stay in tune in the future. Therefore, the more environments in which you run QUICK TUNE, the more robust your instrument’s tuning will be.
QUICK TUNE CALIBRATION
Press the TUNING button on the front panel. QUICK TUNE will be the first option.
The instrument is calibrated & tuned at the factory in a controlled environment, so do not run full TUNING or AUTOCAL unless there is a significant problem that cannot be solved by other means. Make sure to leave it off for at least 45 minutes, then boot the synth up and perform the AUTOTUNE AND CAL. This will ensure that full calibration starts at a low temperature to ensure the best tuning.
