If you are having trouble with triggering your Serato samples on your Rane PERFORMER, use the guide below to ensure you are setup correctly.
In the top left corner of your screen, click on the air horn icon to open the Serato Sampler panel.
To the far right of the Sampler panel you will find the available channel assignments. Most DJs will want to select A for Aux since the PERFORMER has a dedicated level knob to adjust the Sampler volume.
The Serato Sampler volume in the software is independent from the Sampler Level knob on the PERFORMER, so you will want to turn the volume up in Serato using your mouse, then you can use the knob on PERFORMER to adjust from there if needed.
Alternatively, you may MIDI map the
Serato Sampler volume to the
Sampler Level knob on the Rane PERFORMER. For more information on MIDI mapping in Serato DJ Pro, please refer to the following article. |

The Rane PERFORMER also has the ability to route the Sampler audio to Channel 4, allowing for more creative control over your mix.
Press the Assign To 4 button located below the Sampler Level knob on the PERFORMER to access gain, EQ, and FX controls over your samples.
Please note, when Sampler audio is routed to Channel 4, the Sampler Level knob on the PERFORMER has no functionality over the volume, since Channel 4 has it's own Level knob.
