AIR Instruments / Effects hosted within the inMusic Software Center require activation/re-activation every 90 days with a stable Internet connection. Activation errors may occur if the time & date settings on your computer are manually specified; causing a 'time-out' between our servers and your computer.
Example errors related to this problem can be found below:
- OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG
- Error Retrieving User Details
- This Request Could Not Be Authorized
- Error Retrieving User Details
The contents of this guide will help you sync the time & date settings on your machine to help prevent the authorization errors listed above upon activating / re-activating your AIR plugins.
For Windows:
1. Open the Start Menu and type "Date & time settings" in the search bar.
2. Click on "Date & time settings" from the search results.
3. In the Date & Time window, ensure that the "Set time automatically" option is turned on.
4. Below this, also make sure "Set time zone automatically" is enabled.
5. If needed, click the "Sync now" button under Additional settings to force a time update.
For macOS:
1. Click the Apple menu () in the top-left corner of your screen and select System Settings.
2. Scroll down and click General, then click Date & Time.
3. Ensure that "Set date and time automatically" is checked.
4. Verify that the correct time zone is selected in the Time Zone section.
5. Your Mac should now sync the date and time with the internet.
Keeping your date and time synced to the internet can help with resolving authorization issues for AIR Music Technology products.
