If you are connecting your MPC over Ethernet and you find that you are experience the following behaviour:

  • Log out button is greyed out in Activations Menu
  • Cannot Enter Serial

This indicates that your MPC is experiencing a network/ethernet related mis-configuration that is held with the DNS and Gateway fields in your Ethernet settings.

If these fields are blank or showing as 0.0.0.0, this means the MPC is not reaching our servers for a connection to log in.

Please see the following steps to resolve such issues:

1. Kindly go through the recommendations in our support article to check your ethernet connections: Akai Pro MPC and Force | Troubleshooting Internet Connection : inMusic Store 

2. Reset/restore your router to its default settings. Should you need assistance with this, please consult the manufacturer / Internet Service Provider (ISP) of your Modem/Router 

3. Once this has been done, please change the DNS in the Ethernet tab on your MPC like so:


  • In Preferences go to Ethernet. Then, double-tap on automatic and change to Manual.
 
  • On the bottom row, double tap DNS and change this to 8.8.8.8 then select DO IT:


The main goal is to ensure that your DNS is set to 8.8.8.8 and Gateway field is populated with values.

Once this has been done, the Log out button should be usable for you to Log out. If the issues persist, please power cycle your MPC (Turn off and on) and attempt to Log out once more.
