Akai Pro MPC Live III | Installing the MPCe Expressive Kits - Standalone

inMusic Software Center


1. To download the MPCe Expressive Kits - Download the inMusic Software Center 


2. After the download completes, It will open up the inMusic Software Center




3. Click on Let's Go! and will then take you to a browser window to sign into your newly created inMusic Profile. Enter both your email address and password and click on "SIGN IN"

Downloading the MPCe Expressive Kits Files


1. Click My Expansions from the tab on the left: 


2. In the MPC Sound Packs category, find MPCe Expressive Kits


3. Click the dropdown arrow to reveal Standalone - MPCe Expressive Kits and click Download



4. Once the download is complete, click Show in Folder


Note: If 'Show in Folder' does not appear... You have downloaded the expansion installer for desktop - Navigate back to step 3.  


 
5. By default, all software from the inMusic Software Center is downloaded to the following location:

Windows: C: > Users > [Name] > Downloads > inMusic 
Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [User Name] > Downloads > inMusic 



Installation


1. Select the drive where you want to install the content (SD card, USB drive, SATA etc). Make sure that the drive has enough free space to hold the entire pack.

2. Connect the selected drive to your computer.

Note: Internal MPC SATA drives can connect to your computer by putting your MPC into “controller mode.” 

3. Open the following location on your computer

Windows: C: > Users > [Name] > Downloads > inMusic 
Mac: Macintosh HD > Users > [User Name] > Downloads > inMusic 

There you will find the MPCe Expressive Kits-1.0.12 folder. Double click/open the folder:


4. You should now see a folder called MPCe Expressive Kits 


 

5. Copy the MPCe Expressive Kits folder from your computer, to the inside of the Expansions folder on your user drive.
Make sure you copy the entire folder itself, not the content within it. 

Note: If one does not already exist, create a folder in the root directory (top-level) of the drive (not in any folder) and name it Expansions




5. Wait for the files to copy.


Please see the following example of the MPCe Expressive Kits-1.0.12 folder after it has been copied to the Expansions folder on our SATA drive called Test (M:) for your reference. 


6. Once the files have been copied, safely eject the drive from your computer.

7. Insert the drive into your MPC Live III. Your expansion will appear in Browser > Expansions.
