Denon DJ Prime GO and Prime GO + | Setup with Virtual DJ


The Denon DJ Prime GO and Prime GO + are both compatible with Virtual DJ. Click here to purchase a Virtual DJ Pro license, required for support.

The minimum Engine OS requirements for each device are as follows:


  • Prime GO is compatible as of Engine DJ 2.3.0 and higher. 

  • Prime GO + is compatible as of Engine DJ 4.1.0 and higher.

Windows users will also need to download the following audio driver for the Prime GO and Prime GO +.



Once your unit is up to date have and you have obtained a Pro license for Virtual DJ, you are ready to connect to your computer. 


When the Prime GO is powered on, it will default to Standalone mode. To switch to Computer mode and control Virtual DJ:

  • Hold down the VIEW button at the center panel of the device, or swipe down the hardware display touchscreen.

  • Tap on the Source button on the Prime GO screen.

  • Tap on the Computer icon at the top of the Prime GO screen to connect


You should then see the following prompt on your computer running Virtual DJ:



Select the Prime GO button in order for Virtual DJ to apply the pre-defined audio configuration (speakers need to be connected to the rear side of the unit in this case), or Computer if you don't have any speakers to connect to.


Your Prime GO is now ready for use with Virtual DJ!
