In this article, we will discuss how to check your Sound Control Panel for your Windows operating system PC. This is because you may find that the device has been selected within the Sound Settings but not the Sound Control Panel. 


In the bottom right you will see the speaker icon as seen below: 



Right click this and select Sounds, this will bring up the Sound Control panel where you can see all the devices previously connected for both Playback & Recordings tabs. 


Select the device you want to use and make sure this has been set as the Default device. Then check that the device usage is enabled. See below:


Once confirmed this should now be selected as your Playback device.

You will want to also now consider looking at your Sample Rate & Bit Rate settings because if these vary between the Sound Control Panel and software you may still find that you are getting poor audio or even none at all. 


Recommendation: 44.1kHz & 24bit
