MPC Series | Re-Installing Plugins to a New Location

If you are looking to change where your plugin has installed on your MPC, this is the guide for you! Perhaps you want to free up more internal storage, or would like to change the external drive that the plugin content is saved to - either way, this can be easily changed with just a few short steps:

Firstly, you will need to locate the MPC 'Synths' folder. This is on the root directory, or top 'layer' of the drive, and by default is on the MPC's internal storage. Open up the MPC Browser, and locate the Synths folder. Within this, will be sub-folders containing the individual plugin names. Ensure this folder is highlighted, and then hold shift, to reveal a delete button on the display. Hit delete to remove the plugin from the current location.

After this, re-start your MPC, and head to the activate preferences page, under the preferences. Ensure you are logged into your inMusic Profile, and the plugin you have removed can now be re-installed. Make sure your content download drive is set to the new desired install location, for example an external drive. Then, tap the install icon next to the plugin name, from the list.

Please note, the drive you have selected will need to be connected each time you want to use the plugin. Having one location may be preferable, so as not to need multiple drives connected for different plugins.
