One of the first questions users will ask when starting with the product is whether the device requires a Headset mic or if the M-Game mixers will allow them to use a separate mic for using a tabletop mic of some kind.
In this case, no you do not specifically need to use a headset with the product, any kind of mic will work with the product within that port for your own use.
In these cases, you'd just use a regular pair of headphones in the port next to it while using the mic. One last note, but if your laptop has a built in mic, you do need to use an external one with the product as all audio ins and outs need to go through it. The same rule will apply for USB mics connected directly to your computer, as these will bypass the mixer.
