In this article, we will explore how to divide the keybed into various zones, allowing you to play, for instance, a sound module from C1 - B1, a piano from C2 - B2, a drum kit from C3 - B3, and a synth from C4 - B4.
(Please note that this will not work with the Oxygen Pro Mini).
1. Ensure that you are in Preset Mode by pressing and holding Preset.
2. Hold SHIFT + Preset to go into Preset Edit Mode.
3. Press C1 on the keyboard.
4. Press the encoder and turn the ZONE 1 to ON, then press the encoder once more.
5. KEYBD - Z11ST NT (Zone 1 1st Note) should appear.
6. Press the encoder and select the first Key where you want Zone 1 to begin (for instance, C1) and press the encoder again.
7. Adjust the encoder to Z1 LST NT (Zone 1 Last Note) and press the encoder.
8. Here you can press the last Key you want for the last key of Zone 1 (for instance B1), and once pressed, your key will appear under Z1 LST NT.
7. Now press the encoder and hit Back twice so that ZONE 1 is highlighted.
8. Turn the encoder to ZONE 2 and follow the same instructions above, but change Z2 1ST NT to C2 and the Z2 LST NT to B2.
9. You can do this in up to 4 ZONES.
10. You must now set up the MIDI Channels for each zone to align with your external equipment or software.
11. Scroll over to Z1 CHAN.
12. Tap the encoder and set Global to your chosen MIDI channel for each sound module or software instrument you're using; repeat this for Zone 2 and for all other zones you are utilizing, ensuring that your sound module or software instrument is also configured accordingly.
