Akai Pro devices that feature a USB C port are designed to work with cables that specifically support both power and data transfer.
Many USB C cables on the market are intended for charging only, as they’re commonly used with mobile devices. These cables do not support data transfer and are not compatible.
Because Akai Pro devices need to send and receive MIDI data when connected to a computer, a charge-only cable will not work in this setup.
Please ensure you use a USB C cable that supports both power and data transfer. We include a compatible USB C cable in the box to help you get started right away.
