MPC Standalone | How To Back Up Projects To An External Drive

1. Connect an exFAT-formatted USB flash drive or SD card to your MPC.

2. Open a recent project.

3. Go to the Menu, then tap the onscreen Save button.

4. Tap Project As.

5. In the next screen, you will see a side menu named Storage. Here is where the external drive you connected in step 1 will be. Tap on it to enter it.

6. Tap the onscreen Save button to save a copy of your project to your external drive.

7. Once saved, you will see both a standard .xpj project file, as well as a folder named [Project Data]. Ensure that these two files are always kept together. If you want to open the project from a different device, you will need to click on the .xpj project file and it will automatically load the [Project Data] folder with it.

Repeat all of the steps above with each project to do a full back up of your songs.
