How do you install the platters on the RANE ONE MKII?
To install the platters, remove the RANE ONE MKII base unit from the box and open each of the two smaller boxes containing the platter assemblies.
With your RANE ONE MKII on a flat, stable surface, align the pins located on the underside of the platter with the holes on the top of the motor assembly. Firmly press the platter downward to install. You may hear a click sound when the platter locks into position. Check to make sure the rotation is uniform and there is no excessive wobble.
Once the platter has been installed, place the slipmat onto the platter, followed by the Control Disc. To secure the Control Disc to the spindle, pinch the top of the spindle and gently rotate the Control Disc until you hear it click into place.
If you would like to adjust the slip friction of the disc, consider placing 1-2 of the included washers over each spindle, underneath the slipmat. The more you elevate the Control Disc with the washers, the more backspin you will get.

Deck Features
What kind of platters are featured on the RANE ONE MKII? Can the feeling be adjusted?
The RANE ONE MKII features high torque, motorized platters with full 7.2" acrylic control discs. To adjust the feel of the platter, there is a LOW/HIGH torque switch accessible on the rear of the unit, as well as (4) Control Disc Washers. We recommend always placing the felt slip mat down first, followed by 1-2 control disc washers per platter as need to reduce friction. This will guarantee the platter will spin smooth and consistently. Experiment without washers initially, then try 1 or 2 to see what configuration suits you best until you find your preferred feel.
Can I customize the control discs on the RANE ONE MKII?
Yes! The RANE ONE MKII, like the original RANE ONE, can be customized with your own 7" records to suit your personal style or branding. Please note, you will need to drill (3) 6mm holes in order to attach your own records using the ONE MKII Quick Release adapter. We recommend using the original acrylic control disc as a template to ensure you mark the replacement records correctly.
