Sending your preset to the RAM of your connected MPK Mini will only store your changes temporarily, and the changes will revert upon the next power cycle.
In some sitautions, this can be handy because it allows you to quickly test and tweak different mappings or settings without overwriting the presets stored in the hardware’s full memory.
If you instead want to make permanent changes to the presets on your MPK Mini, follow these steps:
1. Connect your MPK Mini to your computer and open the software editor.
2. Make the desired changes to the preset you want to save.
3. Go to File > Send Program and choose a program with an assigned number. This will overwrite the existing program in that slot.
Please do not select RAM.
4. Once the program has been sent, your changes will be saved permanently.
After following these steps, you can easily recall your saved program at any time by holding the PROG CHANGE button and tapping the pad that corresponds to your selected program number.
