Software Instruments vs. Sample Libraries and Expansions

The following tables will indicate which instruments are loaded into parent applications (e.g. Kontakt and Reaktor formats), and which instruments are opened in their own standalone and plug-in formats. Expansions are designed to complement your selection of Komplete sounds.

Audio Effect Plug-Ins

Most of the FX load as individual effect plug-ins, while many of these can also be opened in the Guitar Rig 7 software.

Komplete Instruments and Libraries

Your Komplete bundle consists of Software Instruments, Audio FX Plug-ins, Reaktor Synthesizers, and Kontakt Sample Libraries.

Komplete Expansions

Your Komplete bundle includes a series of Expansions. These offer additional sound content for the Komplete Kontrol software and select instruments such as Massive, Monark, Prism, and more.
