What's new in Maschine+ 1.6.1

This release focuses on stability, critical bug fixes, and compatibility improvements for Maschine 2 on Maschine+ - laying important groundwork ahead of the upcoming Maschine 3 (on Maschine+) update.

For users planning to stay on Maschine 2 (on Maschine+) , we’ve addressed a number of long-standing issues you’ve flagged to ensure a smoother, more reliable experience.

Key updates in 1.6.1:

  • System-level improvements including a kernel upgrade
  • Sample rate and buffer size settings are now adjustable to improve compatibility with a wider range of USB audio class-compliant interfaces. (Note: Raising the buffer size does not reduce CPU usage, which remains optimized for real-time pad performance.)
  • New effect compatibility: Maschine+ now supports the Mod and Crush Pack effects - Freak, Dirt, Flair, Bite, and Choral. (Note: You must own a valid license in your account for them to appear in the Library tab.)
  • Instrument upgrade: Maschine+ now supports Massive 1.7, bringing improved compatibility and NKS 2 support.

  • Improved external audio interfaces compatibility and stability
  • User adjustable sample rate and buffer size
  • Support for Mod & Crush pack effects (Freak, Dirt, Flair, Bite, and Choral)
  • Updated Massive to 1.7.0 compatibility and NKS 2 support
