This article covers the methods to save your MPC project.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Manual Save
The standard way to save a project is by going to Menu > Save > Project or Menu > Save > Project As.
Auto Save
The MPC also has an Auto Save feature that can be accessed via Menu > Preferences > Project Load/Save.
When this is enabled, your MPC will automatically save your project within a set time frame (1 min, 2 mins, 5 min and 10 mins):
In addition to this, ensure that you select a drive for the temporary file location, as this is where the MPC will save the auto saved ProjectData files.
Note: On default, the MPC will save your auto save projects to the Internal drive via Internal > MPC Documents > Projects.
We recommend using an alternative drive such as an SSD, HDD, USB or SD Card.
Go to Menu > Preferences > Project Load/Save and set the Temporary File Location to an external drive (SSD/HDD.SD Card/USB stick etc.) and formatted to exFAT:
Once this has been set up, the MPC will display a save progress bar at your chosen timeout range whilst you work on your project.
Please note: In this operation, the save progress bar will appear whilst you are working and you will not be able to operate the MPC until saving has been complete:
Locating the Auto Saved Project
To locate the auto saved project, go to Menu > Brower and tap the gear icon (top-right side of the screen)
Make sure that Hide project data folders is unchecked
Tap Close, and return to the Browser.
You will find your project in a new _[AutoSave] folder
Disabling Auto Save
To stop the save progress bar from appearing whilst you work, you must disable Auto Save by going to Menu > Preferences > Project Load/Save.
Your settings should look exactly like this:
