In this guide, we will be covering the steps to audition expansions and samples. This is useful if you wish to audition the expansions before loading them into your project, rather than loading them into memory.

Sounds Menu
In the sounds menu, you can audition expansions that contain drum and keygroups.
1. Create a new Drum or Keygroup track

2. Enter Sounds Mode, and select a location - either Factory Expansions or User Expansions

3. Select your expansion and the relevant expansion folder* (Drums or Keygroup)
*To audition Demos, please use the steps in the Browser chapter of this article

4. Tap the headphone icon to preview the sounds
5. Once you have previewed the sounds, tap the headphone icon to disable the preview. Then, tap the expansion to load it in
Browser
In the Browser, you can audition expansions (drum and keygroup), demo projects and samples
Tap the Audition speaker icon at the bottom of the screen. In the screen that appears: Tap Auto to enable or disable automatic audition when a sound is selected.
Tap Sync to enable or disable auditioning samples at the beginning of the next bar of the sequence when playback is active
Tap Warp to enable or disable samples with an embedded tempo to be warped to the project tempo. Samples with no embedded tempo or externally-embedded tempo will not be affected by this setting.
Tap and drag the level slider up or down to set the audition volume level, then tap the Audition icon once more to hide the window.

Filter Buttons
Use the six filter buttons to show only specific types of files in the list below. Folders will still be shown in the list.
Tap the P/page icon to show project files only.
Tap the bars icon to show pattern files only.
Tap the four-squares icon to show kit files only. Tap the plug icon to show plugin preset files only.
Tap the waveform icon to show sample files only.
Tap the three-pages icon to show all file types.
