Traktor Play issues when connecting AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX4 and DDJ-FLX2 Controllers on Windows 11

This article addresses issues that may occur when connecting your AlphaTheta DDJ FLX-4 and DDJ FLX-2 to Traktor Play on Windows 11, such as:

  • No audio output
  • Playback of tracks does not work

This has been observed with the following configurations:

  • Windows 11 Home 64-bit AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20GHz 16GB
  • Windows 11 Pro 64-bit 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12800HX 2.00GHz 16GB

Workaround:

1.  Go to Preferences > Audio Setup

2Change the selected driver

from:
DDJ-FLX2 (WASAPI (Shared Mode))
to:
DDJ-FLX2 (WASAPI (Exclusive Mode))

or from:
DDJ-FLX4 (WASAPI (Shared Mode))
to:
DDJ-FLX4 (WASAPI (Exclusive Mode))

3. Then open Preferences > Output Routing and check the correct setup of the outputs channels as follows:

DDJ-FLX2:

  • Mixing Mode: Internal
  • Output Monitor L: 3: Line Out 2
  • Output Monitor R: 4: Line Out 3
  • Output Master L: 1: Line Out 0
  • Output Master R: 2: Line Out 1

DDJ-FLX2:

  • Mixing Mode: Internal
  • Output Monitor L: 3: Line Out 2
  • Output Monitor R: 4: Line Out 3
  • Output Master L: 1: Line Out 0
  • Output Master R: 2: Line Out 1

Note: you may have to re-do these settings at the beginning of each Traktor session, because your  drivers may switch back to Shared Mode.

We are already working on a bugfix that will be released shortly within the upcoming weeks.
