Symptom
When loading an M4A file purchased from the iTunes Store in Traktor Pro 3 on Windows 11 (22H2), the track shows volume inconsistencies in the waveform and acoustically. The issue also occurs with other audio software.
This issue has worsened with the latest Windows 11 update (23H2) released on February 29. Some users have reported corruption of their codecs, forcing them to restart their audio applications to resume playback.
Solution
The issue has been fixed with a Windows 11 update by Microsoft.
Please make sure to install the update March 26, 2024—KB5035942 (OS Builds 22621.3374 and 22631.3374) or higher to solve the issue.
